EMU Men's Hockey Dormant

 

The EMU Men's hockey team in 2020.  This game was against the Colorado State University Rams.

     The Eastern Michigan University Men's hockey team is dormant for the 2024-2025 season.  The announcement was made on May 28th on the EMU hockey social media platforms.  The Eagles previously competed in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  The Eagles were in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  The EMU Men's hockey team played their home games at the Biggby Coffee Ice Cube in Ann Arbor.

-  Eddie Cannon was an Assistant Coach on the EMU Men's hockey team last season.

Adrian 5-0 UofM-D

     On Wednesday, February 15th, the Adrian College Bulldogs defeated the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines 5-0 in Dearborn.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).   The Adrian College Bulldogs are members of the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  The University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines are members of the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of Wednesday night's hockey game.

     Adrian Bulldogs Goaltender #1 Noah Decottignies made 19 saves in the 5-0 shutout victory over the Wolverines on Wednesday night.  Bulldogs Left Winger #12 Sebastian Smith contributed 1 goal, and 1 assist.  Bulldogs Defenseman #4 Dakota Bohn also had 1 goal, and 1 assist.  Bulldogs Right Winger #66 Dylan Gajewski produced 1 goal, and 2 assists. 

     The Adrian College Men's hockey team currently has a conference record of 15-0, and an overall record of 29-2-2 (2 shootout losses).  The Bulldogs are riding a four-game winning streak.  The University of Michigan Dearborn Men's hockey team currently has a conference record of 15-6-1 (1 shootout loss), and an overall record of 17-12-1.  The Wolverines are riding a two-game losing streak.

Colorado State 4-0 EMU

On Friday, February 7th, the Colorado State University Rams defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 4-0.

     On Friday, February 7th, the Colorado State University Men's hockey team defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 4-0.  The Rams also defeated the Eagles 8-3 on Saturday night.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  Both games were played at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube located at 2121 Oak Valley Dr, in Ann Arbor.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs from last Friday's college hockey showdown.

5 Years of UofM-D Hockey

The University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team has been featured on the Mitten State Sports Report every year since 2013.

     The University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team has been featured on the Mitten State Sports Report every year since 2013.  Schools from all around the Country such as Colorado State University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Minot State University have traveled to Dearborn over the last 5 years.  The Wolverines have also battled local rivals such as Eastern Michigan University, Davenport University, and Adrian College.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from several University of Michigan Dearborn hockey games.
     The University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team competes in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  The Wolverines also compete in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) against 8 other local schools.  The Wolverines currently have an overall record of 23-7-1 (1 shootout loss).  The Wolverines will play their next game on Saturday, March 11th (8:15 p.m.) against Robert Morris University (Illinois) in the first round of the ACHA Division 1 Men's Ice Hockey National Championship.  All 2017 ACHA National Championship Games will be played in Columbus, Ohio.  Click on the links below for more information about the University of Michigan Dearborn athletic program, the ACHA, or the GLCHL.

The Colorado State University Rams visited Dearborn back in January of 2014.

The Davenport University Panthers have developed a rivalry with the Wolverines from Dearborn. 

Kent State University competes against the Wolverines in the GLCHL.

The Wolverines mixed it up with the Spartans during the 2015 Great Lakes Showcase.  

The Mitten State Sports Report was at the University of Michigan Dearborn Alumni Game in October of 2015.

Minot State University visited Dearborn last month.

Over the weekend, The University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines earned 2 wins over the Mercyhurst University Lakers.

Calvin Will Move Up

     The Calvin College men's hockey team currently competes in Division 3 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  The Calvin Knights are scheduled to move up and join Division 1 of the ACHA for the 2017-2018 season.  The Knights are set to compete in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League). Last weekend, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the University of Illinois Fighting Illini twice.

UofM-D vs. Niagara

The University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines earned two victories against the Niagara University Purple Eagles. 

     On Friday, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Niagara University Purple Eagles 4-1.  The Wolverines went on to defeat the Purple Eagles 3-2 last night.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), but the schools are placed in separate Conferences.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Friday night's game.  Click on the link below for more information about the ACHA.

-  Niagara University is located in the town of Lewiston in Niagra County, New York.  



-  Friday night's game was the opening game of the 2016-2017 season for the Wolverines.



-   The Wolverines finished the 2015-2016 season with an overall record of 22-9.



-  The Purple Eagles finished the 2015-2016 season with an overall record of 24-8.



-  The American Collegiate Hockey Association is still referred to as club hockey.



-  The ACHA unveiled a new logo on August 8th.  It's their 3rd logo in the league's 25 year history.

#7 Justin Dunn has scored 3 goals in two games.  Dunn is playing in his Freshman season for the Wolverines.

UofM-D is ranked #12 in the Country according to the latest ACHA Division 1 Poll.  Niagara University is ranked #18.

UofM-D 2 -1 Adrian

On Saturday night, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 2-1. 

     On Saturday night, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 2-1.  It was a GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) Tournament semifinal.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association)  The Wolverines went on to defeat Davenport University 3-2 (in overtime) in the GLCHL Tournament Championship snapping the Panthers 22 game winning streak.  Click on the links below for more information about the ACHA, or the GLCHL.

The Wolverines and Bulldogs battled for a spot in the 2016 GLCHL Tournament Championship. 

The 2016 GLCHL Playoffs were held at the University of Michigan Dearborn Ice Arena. 

#56 Austyn Roudebush is playing in his Sophomore season for the Bulldogs.  

#26 Erik Alden is a Defenseman playing in his Junior season with the Bulldogs.

Last night, the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team (in white) defeated Indiana Tech 8-5.

Rochester 2 - 1 EMU in OT

Last night, Rochester College (in white) defeated Eastern Michigan University (in green) 2-1 in overtime.
