Live Tennis In Miami
The Altec/Styslinger Exhibition is underway in Miami, Florida. The tournament features some of the top Men's tennis players in the United States. The Altec/Styslinger Exhibition includes JC Aragone, Hubert Hurkacz (from Poland), Sam Querrey, Steve Johnson, Mackenzie McDonald, Brandon Nakashima, Reilly Opelka, and Tennys Sandgren. The Altec/Styslinger Exhibition Semifinals take place today, and the Finals are scheduled for tomorrow beginning at 12:00 p.m. All of the live action can be seen on Tennis Channel.

Jones Wins In Utah
On Sunday, June 28th, Kyle Jones won the 2020 Utah Championship with an impressive score of -20. It was all part of the Korn Ferry Tour. Jones birdied the second playoff hole to defeat Paul Haley II, and Daniel Summerhays after all three players finished the Final Round with a score of -20.
The Korn Ferry Tour serves as a developmental tour for the PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) Tour. The Korn Ferry Tour is scheduled to be in Berthoud, Colorado, on July 1st - July 4th for the 2020 TPC Colorado Championships at Heron Lakes. The Korn Ferry Tour was previously known as the Web.com Tour.

Lynx 26-20 Calvary
On Friday, June 19th, the Madison Lynx defeated the Ottawa Calvary 26-20 to win the inaugural SFLm (Simulation Football League Minor League) Championship. The Championship game was played at the Thunderdome, in Chicago, Illinois. The Lynx finished the season with an overall record of 7-3. The Madison Lynx also defeated the Ottawa Calvary 20-17 in a regular season game back on June, 3rd, 2020. The Ottawa Calvary finished the inaugural SFLm season with an overall record of 6-4. Eight teams competed in the first SFLm season, but the league is planning on adding four more teams for next season.

PBR Team Challenge
PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Monster Energy Team Challenge continues to roll on from Las Vegas, Nevada. The contest features twelve teams, and forty-eight of the top riders in the sport. The teams are divided into two divisions that feature six teams each. PBR Monster Energy Team Challenge can be seen on CBS, and CBS Sports. Check your local listings.
Division A features Team Can-Am, Team Cooper Tires, Team Las Vegas, Team Union Home Mortgage, Team Wrangler, and Team Yeti. Division B features Team Ariat, Team Boot Barn, Team CAT, Team Lucas Oil, Team Pendleton Whisky, and Team South Point. PBR Monster Energy Team Challenge Championship is scheduled to take place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Sunday, July 12th.

Live Golf In Cromwell
The 2020 Travelers Championship is underway in Cromwell, Connecticut. The PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) Tour event features many of the top players in the World including Jason Day, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth, and Bubba Watson. Mackenzie Hughes leads the field after Round 1 with a score of -10. Brooks Koepka, and Web Simpson are among some of the golfers that elected not to compete in the 2020 Travelers Championship.
The Second Round of the 2020 Travelers Championship can be seen on Golf Channel today beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Third Round is scheduled to be on CBS on Saturday beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Final Round is scheduled to be on CBS on Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Live Tennis In London
"Battle of the Brits" is currently taking place at the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) National Tennis Centre, in London. The round robin style tennis tournament features eight competitors including Liam Broady, Kyle Edmund, Dan Evans, Paul Jubb, Andy Murray, Cameron Norrie, Ryan Peniston, and James Ward. Jay Clarke, and Jack Draper withdrew from the tournament due to injury. The "Battle of the Brits" final is scheduled for Sunday, June 28th. All of the action can be seen on Tennis Channel.

Taylor Fields Not Maintained

I recently noticed that the baseball, and softball fields at Heritage Park in Taylor are not being maintained. The infields are filled with weeds, and the outfields are brown. The city of Taylor has hosted the Junior League World Series since 1981, but the event will not take place this year. Golden Hill Little League from Fullerton, California won the 2019 Junior League World Series.

Memory Lane: Games

I miss going to games. I miss watching races at Flat Rock Speedway. I miss going to soccer games in Ann Arbor, and baseball games at Jimmy John's Field in Utica. I miss the fresh air, the reasonably priced entertainment, and the enthusiastic crowds of people. I miss the smells of hot dogs, and popcorn that seem to linger throughout a venue. I miss the anticipation, and the excitement of going to those games. I miss the memories that would have been made at those games.

Horse Racing News - June
On Saturday, June 6th, Honor A. P. won the 2020 Santa Anita Derby. Authentic finished Place (2nd place), and Rushie finished Show (3rd place). The 2020 Santa Anita Derby took place at Santa Anita Park located in Arcadia, California.
On Saturday, June 13th, She's a Julie won the 2020 Ogden Phipps. Point of Honor finished Place (2nd place), and Ollie's Candy finished Show (3rd place). The Ogden Phipps took place at Belmont Park located in Elmont, New York.
The 2020 Belmont Stakes is scheduled to take place tomorrow (5:42 p.m.) at Belmont Park. Tiz the Law is a favorite to win the 2020 Belmont Stakes. Tiz the Law won the 2020 Florida Derby on Saturday, March 28th. The 2020 Florida Derby took place at Gulfstream Park located in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
Charlatan has been ruled out of the 2020 Belmont Stakes because of injury. Charlatan will also miss the 2020 Kentucky Derby scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, 2020. Charlatan also failed an initial drug test according to several reports after his win in the first division of the 2020 Arkansas Derby on Saturday, May 2nd. Charlatan is trained by Bob Baffert.
Nadal recently retired after winning the second division of the 2020 Arkansas Derby. Nadal suffered an injury, and retires undefeated. Nadal was one of the favorites to win the 2020 Kentucky Derby. Nadal was trained by Bob Baffert.

There's a Bike Park that sits off of Hines Drive in Westland. The Pump Track is located in the Hawthorne Ridge Recreational Area. Balance Bikes, BMX Bikes, City Bikes, In-Line Skates, Longboards, Mountain Bikes, Scooters, and Skateboards, are all encouraged on the Pump Track. There is also a Dog Park, and an Outdoor Gym in the Hawthorne Ridge Recreational Area.

A NFC (National Fitness Campaign) Fitness Court sits inside of Garden City Park. The Fitness Court is essentially an outdoor gym that features over thirty pieces of bodyweight equipment. There are countless ways to utilize the equipment to increase agility, balance, and strength. Some of the bodyweight equipment includes agility ladders, rowing stations, and a progressive training wall. Garden City Park is located on the corner of Merriman Road, and Cherry Hill Road, in Garden City.

Strike Derby On Fox
The PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) is holding a live event tonight that will air on Fox beginning at 7:00 p.m. The "PBA Strike Derby" will feature eight competitors including Tommy Jones, Shawn Maldonado, Bill O'Neill, Kris Prather, Sean Rash, Anthony Simonsen, EJ Tackett, and Kyle Troup. Each competitor will have two minutes to accumulate as many strikes as they can. Tonight's event will take place at Bowlero Jupiter in Florida. No fans will be in attendance.
