Watch MASL Games Online





The St. Louis Ambush (in blue) compete in the Central Division of the MASL (Major Arena Soccer League).











     Live, and archived MASL (Major Arena Soccer League) games can be watched for free on the official website of the MASL.  Legendary indoor soccer teams such as the Baltimore Blast, the Milwaukee Wave, and the San Diego Sockers compete in the MASL.  The 2017-2018 MASL season features 4 divisions, and 16 teams.  The state of Michigan does not currently have a MASL team, but the Detroit Waza Flo did compete in the MASL from 2008-2016.  Click on the link below for more information about the Major Arena Soccer League.

-  The MASL Championship is known as the Ron Newman Cup.  The Baltimore Blast have won the Ron Newman Cup two years in a row.



-  The Baltimore Blast were founded in 1992.  The Blast have won 8 Championships.



-  The Milwaukee Wave were founded in 1984.  The Wave have won 6 Championships.



-  The San Diego Sockers have won 4 MASL Championships.



-  The Detroit Waza Flo now compete in MLF (Major League Futsal).  The Detroit Waza Flo were the 2017 MLF National Champions.  



-  Lansing City F.C. also competes in MLF (Major League Futsal).

LTU 1-1 Michigan





On Friday, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils, and the University of Michigan Wolverines skated to a 1-1 tie. 











     On Friday, November 17th, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils, and the University of Michigan Wolverines skated to a 1-1 tie.  Friday night's game was played at the Southfield Ice Arena.  The Wolverines defeated the Blue Devils 4-2 on Saturday, November 18th.  Saturday night's game was played at the Arctic Edge Ice Arena, in Canton.
     The Lawrence Tech University hockey team, and the University of Michigan hockey team both compete in Division 3 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  The Blue Devils currently have an overall record of 6-4-1 (1 tie).  The Wolverines currently have an overall record of 6-6-3 (3 ties).  Click on the link below for more information about the ACHA.

Aquinas 3-2 LTU





On Friday, November 17th, the Aquinas College Saints defeated the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils 3-2.











     On Friday, November 17th, the Aquinas College Saints defeated the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils 3-2.  Friday night's game was played at the Southfield Ice Arena.  The Saints also defeated the Blue Devils 6-1 on Saturday night.  Saturday night's game was played at the Southside Ice Arena.
     Aquinas College, and Lawrence Tech University are both NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both schools compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the NAIA, or the WHAC.

-  The NAIA now recognizes ice hockey as a varsity sport.  Ice hockey was categorized as a club sport before the 2017-2018 season.  The NAIA did sponsor ice hockey from 1968-1984.



-  Hockey:  The Aquinas College Saints are 7-0 all time against the LTU Blue Devils.



-  Hockey:  The Aquinas College Saints won the 2017 ACHA Division 3 National Championship.



-  Hockey:  The Aquinas College Saints defeated Calvin College 4-3 in the 2017 ACHA Division 3 National Championship Game.



-  Hockey:  The LTU Blue Devils have lost 7 games in a row.  The team began the season 2-0.

Concordia Adds Hockey





Concordia University has added Men's, and Women's ice hockey to their athletic program.











     Concordia University has added Men's, and Women's ice hockey to their athletic program.  Both teams will begin competition in the 2018-2019 season.  The NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) is now recognizing ice hockey as a varsity sport, and both teams will join the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Concordia University has already hired Ben Kenyon to be the Head Coach of the Men's hockey team.  The Cardinals have also hired Maria Barlow to be the Head Coach of the Women's ice hockey team.  Click on the links below for more information about the Concordia University athletic program, the NAIA, or the WHAC.

HFC: Women's Hoops Again





Henry Ford College is reviving their Women's basketball program next season after a two year absence.

Schoolcraft vs. Alpena





Schoolcraft College defeated Alpena Community College 10-4 on Saturday afternoon.











     The Schoolcraft College Ocelots defeated the Alpena Community College Lumberjacks 10-4 on Saturday afternoon.  The Ocelots also defeated the Lumberjacks 6-3 on Friday night.  Both games were played at the Redford Ice Arena located at 12400 Beech Daly Road, in Redford.  2017-2018 marks the return of the ice hockey program at Alpena Community College.  The Schoolcraft College hockey program is in its second year of existence.  
     The Schoolcraft College, and Alpena Community College hockey teams both compete in Division 3 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  The Schoolcraft College Ocelots currently have an overall record of 6-6.  The Alpena Community College Lumberjacks currently have an overall record of 1-8.

North Stars Dormant





The Traverse City North Stars began as the Hartland Hounds back in 2012.











     The 2017-2018 USPHL (U.S. Premier Hockey League) season is taking place without the participation of the Traverse City North Stars.  The North Stars organization officially became dormant on July 4th, 2017.  The Traverse City North Stars began as the Hartland Hounds back in 2012.  The Hounds competed in the MWJHL (Midwest Junior Hockey League) for three seasons, and the team won all three Veteran's Memorial Cups. 
     The Hounds moved to Traverse City in 2013, and the MWJHL merged with the USPHL in 2015.  The Traverse City Hounds became the Traverse City North Stars in 2016.  The North Stars will continue to update their official website with news regarding former players.  Click on the links below for more information about the USPHL, or the Traverse City Hounds.

Virtual Harness Racing





Northville Downs features Virtual Reality Harness Racing.  











     Northville Downs now features Virtual Reality Harness Racing.  The three minute high definition experience is free for a limited time at Northville Downs.  Northville Downs is located at 301 S. Center Street, in Northville.
      The live harness racing season at Northville Downs continues on Friday, and Saturday night's through December 16th, 2017.  Post time is 7:00 p.m.  Northville Downs also has simulcast racing on over 350 personal flat screen televisions.  Click on the link below for more information about Northville Downs.

State Champs! On The Ticket







      The MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association) Football Playoffs are well underway, and the "State Champs Scoreboard Show" is the destination for news, scores, and analysis.  The "State Champs Scoreboard Show" airs on Friday night's during the Fall season on 97.1 The Ticket.  Lorne Plant, and Tom Markowski host the weekly FM radio show, and Scott Burnsein is the co-host.  The next two Friday shows will air directly following Detroit Red Wings games.  97.1 The Ticket also broadcasts live Detroit Tigers games, and live Detroit Pistons games.  Click on the links below for more information about 97.1 The Ticket, the MHSAA, or State Champs! SC Sports Dome Update





The St. Joe's Sports Dome is located on the campus of Schoolcraft College, in Livonia.











     The St. Joe's Sports Dome opened in November of 2016, and it's the largest soccer dome in Michigan.  The 110,500 square foot indoor facility can host several events including soccer, lacrosse, football, volleyball, baseball, and softball.  The St. Joe's Sports Dome is located on the campus of Schoolcraft College, in Livonia.
      The St. Joe's Sports Dome is currently home to the Wolves and Hawks Soccer Club.  The AC Milan Detroit (Livonia)/Livonia Soccer Club recently merged with the Wolves and Hawks Soccer Club.  Click on the links below for more information about Schoolcraft College, or the Wolves and Hawks Soccer Club.

Prowlers: Life After Mahfouz







     The Port Huron Prowlers are adjusting to life in the FHL (Federal Hockey League) without Ahmed Mahfouz.  Mahfouz currently plays for the Cornwall Nationals, but the 28 year old goal scorer skated for the Port Huron Prowlers during the 2015-2016 season, and the 2016-2017 season.  The Prowlers won the Commissioner's Cup (FHL Championship) in 2016.
     Ahmed Mahfouz has played in the FHL Playoffs every season since the league began in 2010.  Mahfouz has lead the league in scoring 4 times, and he's hoisted the Commissioner's Cup 3 times.  Ahmed Mahfouz has recorded 205 goals, and 394 assists in 293 FHL regular season games played.
     The Port Huron Prowlers are currently tied for last place in the FHL standings with 0 points, and an overall record of 0-2.  The Cornwall Nationals are currently in 3rd place in the FHL standings with 4 points, and an overall record of 1-0-1 (1 overtime loss).  #19 Ahmed Mahfouz currently has 3 goals, and 3 assists in 2 games played.  The 2017-2018 FHL season features 6 teams.

USA 5-4 Youngstown





On Friday, November 3rd, the USA NTDP U-18 Team defeated the Youngstown Phantoms 5-4 in overtime.











     On Friday, November 3rd, the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-18 Team defeated the Youngstown Phantoms 5-4 in overtime.  Both teams compete against each other in the Eastern Conference of the USHL (United States Hockey League).  The USA NTDP also features an U-17 Team that competes in the USHL.  Friday night's game was played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth.  Click on the links below for more information about the USHL, or the USA Hockey Arena.

UofM-D vs. Missouri State





On Saturday. October 28th, the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team defeated Missouri State University 6-1.











     On Saturday, October 28th, the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team defeated the Missouri State University Ice Bears 6-1.  The Wolverines avenged a 2-1 shootout loss to the Ice Bears on Friday, October 27th.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey League).  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Saturday night's game.  Click on the link below for more information about the ACHA.

USA 3-2 Cedar Rapids





On Friday, October 27th, the USA NTDP U-18 Team defeated the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 3-2.











     On Friday, October 27th, the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-18 Team defeated the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 3-2.  Both teams compete in the Eastern Conference of the USHL (United States Hockey League).  The USA NTDP U-17 Team lost to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 4-3 on Saturday, October 28th.  Both games were played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth.  Click on the links below for more information about the USHL, or the USA Hockey Arena.
