Pictures of 2018





We watched college hockey in January.  Lawrence Tech University defeated Schoolcraft College 4-3.






 MHSAA matchups were featured on the Mitten State Sports Report.  Detroit Catholic Central defeated Hartland 8-0.






Mitten State Sports Report was center ice for the U-18 Five Nations Tournament.  Finland defeated Sweden 5-3.  






ARCA racing at Flat Rock Speedway has been featured on the Mitten State Sports Report every year since 2012.






We visited Comerica Park in June.  The Cleveland Indians defeated the Detroit Tigers 9-2.






The Mitten State Sports Report received exclusive Car Show photographs from Michael Pertile.






The Summer heated up with UPSL action.  The Ann Arbor FC Lumberjacks defeated the Muskegon Risers 3-0.






Three USPBL games were featured on the Mitten State Sorts Report in 2018.






Jimmy John's Field opened in 2016.






The Junior League World Series has been featured on the Mitten State Sports Report every year since 2015.






College Soccer was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report.  Madonna University defeated Cleary University 3-1.






The USA NTDP was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report several times in 2018.






We watched college hockey at Yost Ice Arena.  MSU beat UofM 4-3.






We watched college hockey in November.  The University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Utah Utes 12-0.






Concordia University football was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.






The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers defeated Georgia Tech 34-10 in the 2018 Quick Lane Bowl.

UofM-D 6-0 Calvin





On Friday, January 25th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Calvin College Knights 6-0.











     On Friday, January 25th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Calvin College Knights 6-0.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  The Wolverines also earned a 3-1 victory over the Knights last night in Grand Rapids.
     The University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team currently has an overall record of 18-2-1 (1 tie).  The Wolverines are ranked #2 in the Country according to the latest ACHA Division 1 Poll.  The Calvin College hockey team currently has an overall record of 3-14.  The Knights also field an ACHA Division 3 team.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs from Friday night's hockey game.

Catholic Central 1-0 Trenton





On Wednesday, January 23rd, the Detroit Catholic Central Shamrocks defeated the Trenton Trojans 1-0.

-  The Federal Prospects Hockey League was previously known as the Federal Hockey League.





-  The Federal Prospects Hockey League features 6 teams for the 2018-2019 season.





-  The Carolina Thunderbirds are currently in 1st place in the FPHL standings with 79 points, and an overall record of 26-3-0-1 (1 overtime loss).





-  The Carolina Thunderbirds have won 17 games in a row.





-  The Carolina Thunderbirds are averaging 2,564 fans per game this season.





-  The Elmira Enforcers are currently in 2nd place in the FPHL standings with 50 points, and an overall record of 15-10-1-3 (1 overtime win, and 3 overtime losses).





-  The Elmira Enforcers are averaging 3,223 fans per game this season.





-  The Watertown Wolves are currently in 3rd place in the FPHL standings with 43 points, and an overall record of 13-13-2-0 (2 overtime wins).

Catholic Central 6-1 St. Michael's





On Friday, January 18th, the Detroit Catholic Central Shamrocks defeated (Toronto) St. Michael's College School 6-1.

On January 12th, the Detroit Catholic Central Shamrocks defeated the Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood Cranes 9-1.

2019 Plymouth Ice Festival

USA 1-0 Flying Aces





On Friday, January 11th, the USA NTDP U-17 Team defeated the Central Illinois Flying Aces 1-0.











     On Friday, January 11th, the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-17 Team defeated the Central Illinois Flying Aces 1-0.  USA Forward #40 Owen Gallatin scored the only goal of the game with just over five minutes left in regulation.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of last Friday's contest.
     The USA NTDP, and the Central Illinois Flying Aces both compete against each other in the Eastern Conference of the USHL (United States Hockey League).  The Central Illinois Flying Aces are currently in 6th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 33 points, and an overall record of 15-15-2-1 (2 overtime losses, and 1 shootout loss).
     The USA NTPD is currently tied for 7th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 27 points, and an overall record of 12-11-1-2 (1 overtime loss, and 2 shootout losses).  The USA NTDP also features an U-18 team that competes in the USHL.  The USA NTDP plays their home games at the USA Hockey arena located at 14900 Beck Road in Plymouth.

UofM-D 67-66 Cornerstone





On Wednesday, January 9th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated Cornerstone University 67-66.











     On Wednesday, January 9th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Men's basketball team defeated the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles 67-66.  The game was won on a four point play converted by Wolverines Guard #23 Mafiaion Joyner with 2 seconds left in regulation.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs from last night's matchup.
     Cornerstone University, and the University of Michigan Dearborn are both NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic) programs, and both schools compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the NAIA, or the WHAC.
