Bakich At Clemson

 



     Erik Bakich is currently in his second season as Head Coach of the Clemson University baseball team.  Bakich was the Head Coach of the University of Michigan baseball team from 2013-2022.  The Wolverines advanced to the championship game of the College World Series in 2019.  Erik Bakich was named National Coach of the Year in 2019.

     The Clemson Tigers currently have an overall record of 44-14.  The Tigers finished in 1st place in the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) regular season standings with a conference record of 20-10, but the Duke Blue Devils won the 2024 ACC Tournament.  The Clemson Tigers are currently ranked #6 in the Country according to the latest USA Today Poll.  The Clemson Tigers are headed to the NCAA Super Regional after outlasting Coastal Carolina in back-to-back games this weekend.

UofM Baseball Ranked #1





The University of Michigan baseball team is ranked #1 in the Country according to the latest Baseball America Top 25.











     The University of Michigan baseball team is ranked #1 in the Country according to the latest Baseball America Top 25.  This is the first time that the Wolverines, or any team from the Big Ten has ever been ranked #1 in the Baseball America Top 25.  The University of Michigan baseball team currently has an overall record of 4-2, and the Wolverines have already earned victories over two highly ranked opponents.

-  The University of Michigan baseball team was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019.



-  The Wolverines are scheduled to play their home opener against Canisius College on Friday, March 13th.



-  Erik Bakich is the Head Coach of the University of Michigan baseball team.



-  The University of Michigan baseball team finished the 2019 season with an overall record of 50-22.



-  The Wolverines lost to Vanderbilt University in the 2019 College World Series Championship.

Michigan 4-0 Manhattan





On Sunday, March 17th, the University of Michigan baseball team defeated the Manhattan College Jaspers 4-0.











     On Sunday, March 17th, the University of Michigan baseball team defeated the Manhattan College Jaspers 4-0.  The Wolverines completed a four game sweep over the Jaspers winning the first three games of the series by scores of 5-1, 23-2, and 16-7.  Sunday's game was a 7 inning game, and was preceded by the completion of Saturday's suspended game.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of Sunday's college baseball showdown.
     The University of Michigan baseball team currently has an overall record of 13-4.  The Wolverines compete in the Big Ten Conference against 12 other schools.  The University of Wisconsin is the only school in the Big Ten Conference that doesn't field a NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) varsity baseball team.  Click on the links below for more information about the University of Michigan athletic program, the NCAA, or the Big Ten Conference.

-  Wolverines Pitcher #25 Isaiah Paige threw 5 scoreless innings against the Jaspers on Sunday.  Paige allowed 2 hits, and recorded 1 strikeout.



-  Wolverines Infielder #10 Blake Nelson contributed 1 run, 2 hits, and 2 RBI (runs batted in) during Sunday's 4-0 win over the Jaspers.



-  The Wolverines scored all four runs in the 4th inning during Sunday's 4-0 win over the Jaspers.



-  Mike Cole is the Head Coach of the Manhattan College baseball team.

UofM vs. NIU





The University of Michigan baseball team recently won 3 out of 4 games against the Northern Illinois University Huskies.











     The University of Michigan baseball team recently won three out of four games against the NIU (Northern Illinois University) Huskies.  The Wolverines defeated the Huskies 7-4 on Thursday, but the Huskies outlasted the Wolverines 8-5 on Saturday.  The Wolverines won both games of Sunday's doubleheader by scores of 7-4, and 8-3.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.
     The University of Michigan baseball team currently has an overall record of 15-4.  The Wolverines are scheduled to host the Western Michigan University Broncos later today (4:00 p.m.) at Ray Fisher Stadium, in Ann Arbor.  The University of Michigan baseball team competes in the Big Ten Conference.  Click on the links below for more information about the University of Michigan athletic program, or the Big Ten Conference.

Michigan vs. UIC





The Michigan Wolverines swept the UIC Flames in all four games of their series.










      This past weekend, the University of Michigan baseball team hosted the UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) Flames for a four game series.  The Wolverines defeated the Flames 10-2 on Friday, 5-0 on Saturday, 10-4 on Saturday, and 5-4 on Sunday.  The Wolverines are currently ranked #23rd in the Country.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Saturday's college baseball showdown.  The photographs were taken during the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
     The University of Michigan baseball team currently has an overall record of 16-5.  Erik Bakich is in his 4th season as Head Coach of the baseball program, and the Wolverines are built to make a run to the College World Series.  The Wolverines are the defending Big 10 Tournament Champions.  Click on the links below for more information about the Big 10 Conference, the NCAA, or the University of Michigan athletic program.
