Eagles are Battle Tested!

The Eastern Michigan University basketball team will be battle tested as they get set for conference play in the MAC (Mid-American Conference).  The Eagles currently have an overall record of 7-5, but four of their five losses have come to nationally ranked schools.  Eastern Michigan suffered losses to #15 Kentucky 81-63 on November 27th, #23 Massachusetts 69-57 on December 3rd, #7 Duke 82-59 on December 28th, and #2 Syracuse 70-48 earlier today.  Eastern Michigan will host Rochester College this Saturday 2:00 p.m. for their final non-conference game of the regular season.  The Eagles begin MAC play on Wednesday, January 8th 7:00 p.m. at Bowling Green.
Eastern Michigan currently has three players averaging double digits in scoring including Karrington Ward with 14 points per game, Raven Lee 12 points per game, and Glenn Bryant with 10 points per game.  The Eagles have a post presence with 7'0 Da'Shonte Riley, and Mike Talley should add some depth in the backcourt.  The redshirt junior joins Eastern Michigan this season after transferring from Duquesne University. Talley's father was a star basketball player for the University of Michigan from 1990-1993, and Talley will be eligible to play for Eastern Michigan through next season.
