Strat-O-Matic: NBA

     A simulation of the 2020 NBA (National Basketball Association) Playoffs is taking place on the Strat-O-Matic website.  First round games begin tomorrow afternoon, and results will be posted every day at 4:00 p.m.  The Detroit Pistons did not qualify for the Strat-O-Matic postseason.

Virtual Baseball

     Niko Goodrum is representing the Detroit Tigers in the "MLB The Show" players league.  Major League Baseball players from each team are virtually competing against each other in a twenty nine game regular season, and the top eight players will advance to a postseason.  Niko Goodrum is currently tied for second place in the American League Central standings with an overall record of 5-3.  Virtual games can be watched on Facebook, Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube.

Strat-O-Matic: Tigers

     A simulation of the Detroit Tigers 2020 season is taking place on the Strat-O-Matic website.  The Tigers are currently in fourth place in the American League Central standings with an overall record of 7-9.  Detroit is currently 5.5 games out of first place, but the Tigers are riding a 4 game winning streak.
     Several Tigers are batting over .300 in the Strat-O-Matic simulation including Jeimer Candelario, Niko Goodrum, and Austin Romine.  Miguel Cabrera, and JaCoby Jones are each hitting below .200.  Jonathon Schoop is currently on the 10-Day IL (injured list).

Virtual Formula 1 Racing

     On Sunday, April 5th, Charles Leclerc won the Virtual Grand Prix.  It was all part of the Formula 1 online racing series that simulates postponed, or cancelled Formula 1 races.  Virtual Formula 1 races can be seen on ESPN2, and F1.com.
     Formula 2 driver Christian Lundgaard finished 2nd in yesterday's Virtual Grand Prix, and Formula 1 driver George Russell finished 3rd.  Yesterday's virtual race featured twenty drivers, but Formula 1 driver Lando Norris never even began the race because of a bad internet connection.

Memory Lane: 2007 Gators

     The 2006-2007 Florida Gators are considered to be one of the best college basketball teams of all time.  The Florida Gators came into the 2006-2007 season as the defending National Champions.  The 2006-2007 Florida Gators repeated as National Champions with an overall record of 35-5.
     Seven players from the 2006-2007 Florida Gators team were drafted by NBA (National Basketball Association) teams.  Corey Brewer (Pick #7), Al Horford (Pick #3), and Joakim Noah (Pick #9) were all selected in the 1st round of the 2007 NBA Draft.  Al Horford played his High School basketball career at Grand Ledge High School in Grand Ledge, Michigan.
     Taurean Green, Walter Hodge, Chris Richard, and Marreese Speights were also drafted by NBA teams.  Billy Donovan was the Head Coach of the back to back National Champions.  Donovan is currently the Head Coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Ohio Valley Wrestling News

     Live weekly episodes of Ohio Valley Wrestling can bee seen every Friday night (12:00 a.m.) on Youtoo America.  Archived episodes of OVW TV (Ohio Valley Wrestling TV) can be seen on the OVW TV YouTube channel.  The Ohio Valley Wrestling roster features several pro wrestling stars including Jessie Belle, Big Zo, Crimson, Jax Dane, Randall Floyd, and Dustin Jackson.
      Ohio Valley Wrestling currently has a partnership with Impact Wrestling.  Tony Gunn is the current Ohio Valley Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, but the Ohio Valley Wrestling website does not include Tony Gunn on their roster.  Justin Smooth is listed as the Ohio Valley Wrestling Heavyweight Champion on the Ohio Valley Wrestling website.

Horse Racing News

     Thoroughbred horse racing in the United States is scheduled to take place today at three tracks including Fonner Park (Nebraska), Tampa Bay Downs (Florida), and Will Rogers Downs (Oklahoma).  Daily Racing Form, and Equibase have informative websites regarding Thoroughbred racing entries, results, and cancellations.
     On Saturday, March 28th, Tiz the Law won the 2020 Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park (Florida).  Tiz the Law is a favorite to win the 2020 Kentucky Derby scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, 2020.
