Chidester Wins Silver

 



     Catcher Amanda Chidester played a pivotal roll in helping the USA Softball Team earn a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.  Chidester hit a walk-off two-run double against Australia in the semifinal.  Team USA lost to Japan 2-0 in the gold medal final on Tuesday, July 27th.  Amanda Chidester played college softball at the University of Michigan.  Chidester also played high school softball at St. Frances Cabrini High School.  Amanda Chidester grew up in Allen Park, Michigan.

-  Amanda Chidester is the reigning NPF Player of the Year.  


-  Amanda Chidester was named Big Ten Player of the Year twice in college.


-  Amanda Chidester also plays as an Infielder. 


-  Amanda Chidester was also mentioned on the Mitten State Sports Report on September 12th, 2020.
