On Saturday, October 2nd, the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-18 Team defeated the Michigan State University Spartans 3-0. The game was played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth. Saturday's exhibition was part of the Kroger College Series. It was also the first game of the 2021-2022 season for the Michigan State Spartans.
The USA NTDP competes in the Eastern Conference of the USHL (United States Hockey League). Team USA is currently in 5th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 3 points, and an overall record of 1-2-1 (1 overtime loss). The Michigan State Spartans will host a two game series against Air Force this weekend at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing.

- On Saturday, October 2nd, the Youngstown Phantoms defeated the USA NTDP U-17 Team in Ohio.
- On Sunday, October 3rd, the USA NTDP U-18 Team defeated the University of Notre Dame 4-3 in Indiana.
- Adam Nightingale is the Head Coach of the USA NTDP U-18 Team.
