Concordia 6-5 Cornerstone

     On Monday, April 11th, the Concordia University baseball team defeated the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles 6-5 in the second game of a doubleheader.  The Cardinals also earned a 7-1 victory over the Golden Eagles earlier that day in the first game of the doubleheader.  Cardinals Utility Player #8 Joe Jones scored the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning in the second game of the doubleheader.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs from the second game of the doubleheader played on Monday.   

     The Concordia University baseball team is currently in 5th place in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) standings with a conference record of 8-6, and an overall record of 26-14.  The Cardinals are currently riding a three-game winning streak.  The Cornerstone University baseball team is currently in 6th place in the WHAC standings with a conference record of 6-5, and an overall record of 14-16.

Concordia (in black) defeated Cornerstone (in dark blue, and gray) 6-5 in game two of a doubleheader.

Concordia also defeated Cornerstone 7-1 earlier that day in the first game of the doubleheader.

Both teams compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).

The Cardinals currently have an overall record of 26-14.  The Cardinals are 8-6 in the WHAC.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 14-16.  The Golden Eagles are 6-5 in the WHAC.

-  Cardinals Pitcher #14 Kenneth Rozmys earned the win in the second game on Monday.  Rozmys's record this season is 3-0.   

-  Golden Eagles Pitcher #6 Ben Cunningham was charged with the loss in the second game on Monday.  Cunningham's record this season is 0-1. 

-  Cardinals Utility Player #26 Aaron West is currently batting .403 with 7 home runs, and 34 runs batted in.

-  Golden Eagles Infielder #10 Austin Hurt is currently batting .388 with 10 home runs, and 33 runs batted in.

-  Zach Johnston is the Head Coach of the Concordia University baseball team. 

-  Chuck Lowitzki is the Head Coach of the Cornerstone University baseball team. 

-  The University of Northwestern Ohio Racers are currently in 1st place in the WHAC standings with a conference record of 12-1, and an overall record of 25-9.
