Red Wings 5-2 Capitals

     On Saturday, September 30th, the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Washington Capitals 5-2 in a preseason matchup at Little Caesars Arena.  Red Wings Center #71 Dylan Larkin scored two goals against the Capitals.  The Red Wings currently have an overall preseason record of 3-1 after earning a 6-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks last night in downtown Detroit.  Detroit will open up the 2023-2024 season on the road against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, October 12th.  The Red Wings home opener is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning.

OCFC 4-3 Kalamazoo FC

     On Saturday, July 8th, Oakland County FC defeated Kalamazoo FC 4-3 at Royal Oak High School.  Both teams compete against each other in the USL (United Soccer League) League Two Great Lakes Division.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of USL League Two action in Royal Oak.  

     Oakland County FC finished the 2023 season in 3rd place in the USL League Two Great Lakes Division standings with 18 points, and an overall record of 5-4-3 (3 draws).  Kalamazoo FC finished the 2023 season in 6th place in the USL League Two Great Lakes Division standings with 15 points, and an overall record of 4-5-3 (3 draws).
