EMU 10-4 Northern Illinois

On Friday, May 14th, the Eastern Michigan University Eagles defeated NIU 10-4.

     On Friday, May 14th, the Eastern Michigan University Eagles defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies 10-4.  It was the opener of a four game series that was played this past weekend at Oestrike Stadium in Ypsilanti.  The Eagles also defeated the Huskies 3-2 on Saturday afternoon, but the Huskies beat the Eagles 5-3 on Saturday night.  Northern Illinois University also earned a 8-5 victory over Eastern Michigan University on Sunday afternoon.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of Friday night's game in Ypsilanti.  

     The Eastern Michigan University Eagles are currently in 8th place in the MAC (Mid-American Conference) standings with a conference record of 14-17, and an overall record of 20-22.  The Eagles have won ten out of their last thirteen games.  The Northern Illinois University Huskies are currently in 9th place in the MAC standings with a conference record of 13-19, and an overall record of 14-32.

Toledo 10-2 EMU

     On Tuesday, May 11th, the University of Toledo Rockets defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 10-2.  The Eagles defeated the Rockets 6-0 earlier that day.  Both games were 7 inning games played at Oestrike Stadium in Ypsilanti.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs from Tuesday's game.

     The University of Toledo Rockets are currently in 7th place in the MAC (Mid-American Conference) standings with a conference record of 14-13, and an overall record of 16-27.  The Eastern Michigan University Eagles are currently in 8th place in the MAC standings with a conference record of 12-15, and an overall record of 18-20.  The Eagles have won eight out of their last ten games.

Concordia 15-4 Rochester

     On Wednesday, May 5th, the Concordia University Cardinals defeated the Rochester University Warriors 15-4.  Both schools are NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both teams compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Wednesday's game was played on the campus of Concordia University in Ann Arbor.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of college baseball in Ann Arbor. 

     The Concordia University baseball team finished the regular season in 1st place in the WHAC with a conference record of 15-5, and an overall record of 37-16.  The Cardinals are scheduled to host the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers this afternoon in a WHAC Tournament Semifinal.  The Rochester University baseball team finished in 12th place (last) in the WHAC with a conference record of 4-14, and an overall record of 6-25.

MLB On YouTube

     Select MLB (Major League Baseball) games can be seen all season long on the MLB YouTube channel.  Thursday's  MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube featured the Atlanta Braves at the Washington Nationals.  Atlanta Pitcher Drew Smyly was named the YouTube Player of the Game in the Braves 3-2 victory over the Nationals.  Smyly pitched for the Detroit Tigers from 2012-2014.

     The next MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube is scheduled for next Thursday at 1:30 p.m.  The Milwaukee Brewers are scheduled to host the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Indians 10-2 last week, and the Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles Angels 8-2 the week before that.  The MLB YouTube channel also features Game Highlights from all 30 Major League Baseball teams.
