Memory Lane: Hudson

On Saturday, August 24th, 2002, the Oakland Athletics came to town, and defeated the Detroit Tigers 12-3.  Tim Hudson was the starting pitcher for Oakland that night.  Hudson's stuff was filthy, and he recorded a complete game Win for the Athletics.  Jose Lima started for the Tigers, but he was chased from the game in the 3rd inning while allowing 11 earned runs.  This game is memorable for me because I was in attendance.
Detroit struggled in 2002, and the Tigers finished the season with an overall record of 55-106.  The Tigers roster featured fan favorites such as Bobby Higginson, and Brandon Inge.  The A's roster included David Justice, Miquel Tejada, and Barry Zito.  The Oakland Athletics finished the 2002 season with an overall record of 103-59.
