The Henry Ford Community College baseball team lost both games of their doubleheader to the Raiders of Grand Rapids on Saturday. The first game was tied 6-6 heading into the 7th, and final inning, but the Raiders were able to score a run, and steal the first game of the series. The Hawks of Henry Ford were shut out 8-0 in the nightcap marking the fourth time that the Hawks have been held scoreless this season. The weather was cooperative for both games of the series, and the temperature ranged from 55 - 71 degrees as the games wore on.
Henry Ford Community College, and Grand Rapids Community College are both NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II programs, and both schools compete in the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association) Conference. The Henry Ford Community College baseball team currently has an overall record of 12-12, and the Hawks are 4-8 in the MCCAA Conference.
