| On Wednesday, January 29th, the Rochester Warriors defeated the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines 92-79. |
On Wednesday, January 29th, the Rochester University Men's basketball team defeated the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines 92-79. Both schools are NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both teams compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference). The Rochester University Men's basketball team currently has an overall record of 15-7. The Warriors are in 4th place in the WHAC standings with a 8-5 record against conference opponents. The Warriors are lead by a trio of Seniors including Guard #34 Armand Cartwright, Guard #22 Cap Wilson, and University of Akron transfer Forward #21 Peter Agba. The Warriors roster also includes Sophomore Forward #0 Federico Gallinari. Federico's older brother is Oklahoma City Thunder Forward #8 Danilo Gallinari.
The University of Michigan Dearborn Men's basketball team currently has an overall record of 13-10. The Wolverines are in 7th place in the WHAC standings with a 6-7 record against conference opponents. The Wolverines are lead by their own trio of upperclassmen including Junior Forward #33 Jason Gigliotti, Senior Guard #11 Cody Kegley, and Junior Guard #4 Jalen Paul. The Wolverines are also receiving contributions from younger players like Sophomore Guard #14 Zach Lattimer, Sophomore Guard #1 Elwood Tomlinson, and Freshman Forward #22 Damian Forrest. The Wolverines are currently riding a six game losing streak.
