On Saturday, the Oakland University women's lacrosse team hosted, and defeated the Grand Valley State University Lakers 12-4. The game was played inside the Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse, in Beverly Hills. Both programs play in Division II of the WCLA (Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association), and both schools compete against each other in the WCLL (Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League). There are currently 20 schools competing in Division II of the WCLL.
